A-LINE 32D SOFTWARE

Beginning with the first AE systems production, “INTERUNIS” specialists tried to satisfy demands of their customers by expanding software functional capabilities. Thanks to users’ wishes new AE data processing and displaying algorithms were constantly developed and new functions were added.

Now software for А-Line 32D systems is realized in Windows 9x, XP environment and is a multiwindow and multipage interface uniform for all types and versions of AE systems.

Among basic software features for A-Line series the following ones may be listed:

  • Convenient and well-known user interface for system operation, possibility for application of Windows standard means for individual processing of the results.
  • Can be translated into any language. Just now the English and Russian versions are available.
  • Ensures the system simple and easy adjustment and control along with ample opportunities for changing operation modes and   characteristics of the system.
  • Standard multiwindow and multipage interface for graphic and text representation of the received data during the experiment and postprocessing.
  • Convenient control menu for determining parameters of graphic and text displaying: data display pattern, color palette, automatic or registered scaling of axes, linear or logarithmic type of plots,  and grid adjustment etc.

 

  • Performs classification of AE sources by the degree of danger in the terms of amplitude, local-dynamic and integral criteria as per PB 03-593-03.
  • Carries out the varied location of defects: linear and planar, zonal and 3D, on cylindrical and spherical vessels, and on tank bottoms.
  • Uses different optional computing methods for coordinates: by times difference of signal arrival or maximization, triangulation or rectangulation method with the possibility for speed choice.
  • Visualizes the location results in the form of their superimposition on scan-outs, and 3D-models of the test objects.
  • Carries out clusterization of the object by the number of located AE events and the design amplitude of AE source that ensures visualization of the degree of danger and allows evaluating the defect dimension.

 

  • Includes adaptable criteria for automatic rejecting of false AE sources produced by magnetic pickups, by noises of any types and by AE signals re-reflections both in data acquisition mode and in postprocessing that significantly increases the testing reliability.
  • Gives ample opportunities for filtration of experimental data: by any AE parameter, by location and clusterization results, arbitrary highlighted data area and functional formula; according to remoteness of   the common-mode interference and separation of noise and parametric data.
  • Allows plotting the graphs of dependences of any AE signals parameters on each other, on time, location coordinates and parametric channels data, and also on histograms    of event number distribution for any of the AE signal parameters.
  • Provides the on-line plotting and superimposition of a linear diagram on any windows for displaying the AE parameters dynamics with regard to the object loading.

 

  • Makes possible both at the data postprocessing and at the data acquisition to superimpose on any windows a graph mask presenting a map of welds and features of the 2-D or 3-D object elaborate design for visualization of location results .
  • Includes built-in utilities for measuring the speed of AE signals and attenuation in medium.
  • Allows the several data files to be combined for coprocessing.
  • Prepares the report by the AE testing results with printouts of the relevant graphic information in the user-selected view and in color palette.
  • Provides for compatibility of the data text and graphical form with other Windows-applications.
  • Allows all data types to be exported both in ASCII format and in the Statistica (*.sta) data format. This makes possible to use various data processing algorithms in the specialized packages of statistic analysis.

 

  • Uses the spectral analysis of AE signals - a convenient tool for AE waveform precision analysis. When applying FFT, it is easy to analyze the frequency components both of the whole AE signal and its separate parts. This makes the program irreplaceable not only for objects testing, but also for AE nature laboratory research.  Moreover, the program provides a way for statistic processing of the signals and their spectra, as well as the specified frequency domains of these spectra between each other. This allows for carrying out cluster analysis by the specified characteristics of signal waveforms or spectrum frequency domains.
  • Contains the correlation analysis of AE signals and their spectra that enables drawing a conclusion about probable origin of signals arriving to different sensors. In addition, the correlation analysis program is used for detecting leakage in the test object.
  • Includes a converter of AE signals oscillograms into a WAV sound format file  with a different sampling rate.

 

A separate module is software for the monitoring system of continuous observation with multilevel hierarchy of access to the settings and system operation results depending on operator’s status.

  • The program ensures uninterrupted recording, processing and long-term storage of readings of the wide group of sensors, keeps a detail protocol of system operation and personnel actions.
  • The multifactor complex analysis of the data arriving from touch-sensitive units of different type allows minimizing the human factor effect on the diagnosis monitoring results.
  • If any hazardous situation occurs, the system switches on the sound and light alarms, indicates the location and type of probable damage, issues recommendations on personnel actions and takes any other stipulated measures on accident prevention.
  • The program module allows the in-depth statistic processing and acquisition of database according to the object technical state.
